Coach tour routes are always customised for each group so that individual interests and requirements can be met. However, to help you select a tour there are a number of routes that are always very popular.
Coach tours around Shropshire
Ludlow and the South Shropshire hills
This tour wends its way amongst the 'blue remembered hills' described by the poet, AE Housman, with a visit to the little town of Ludlow which is crammed with historic buildings.
Oswestry, Montgomery and the Welsh Marches
The border between England and Wales has shifted many times through the centuries as people fought over this territory. Today peace has returned to the area... but many castles remain.
Ironbridge, Bridgnorth and the Industrial Revolution
The modern world began in Shropshire in the 18th century. Exploring this region now it is difficult to imagine the hustle and bustle that was once the norm in these parts.
Coach tours beyond Shropshire
Not only is the county of Shropshire beautiful in itself but it is also surrounded by some of the most stunning countryside and fascinating areas of Britain - it's why I choose to live here, after all! It therefore serves as an excellent centre for day trips beyond the county. From here excursions can be arranged that go north, south, east or west, visiting the Cotswolds perhaps, or Stratford-upon-Avon and Warwick or Cheshire.
Herefordshire's Black and White Trail
This tour explores some of the prettiest villages in England with their many charming black and white houses. Go on this trail when the apple blossom is in bloom and it becomes a black and white and pink trail!
The Welsh Marches
The word 'marches' comes from an ancient word meaning borders. This is border country, fought over for centuries. There are castles everywhere, one of which (Powis Castle) has within its grounds one of Britain's most beautiful gardens.
Please note that I am unable to provide general tourist information, nor can I arrange coach hire on your behalf. However Shropshire Tourism has an excellent website which can answer all sorts of enquiries at www.shropshiretourism.info
